Hi! I’m Beth, the founder of Happy Baby. The idea for our company was born soon after we welcomed our first child. When our son was little, I tried everything I could to soothe my colicky newborn. What helped most? Babywearing! He calmed down immediately and, even better, I could get things done during the day. Babywearing gave me my hands back, but I quickly found myself frustrated (and sweaty!) with the thick and bulky carriers on the market, not to mention the loud colors and baby-ish prints. Nothing wrong with giraffes, unicorns and tonka trucks - it just wasn’t my style! I felt awkward and uncomfortable in these carriers that overwhelmed and added extra bulk my postpartum body.

When I began this journey, the idea of starting my own company was completely overwhelming, especially with a new baby. But motherhood made me brave, and by the time our second baby arrived in early 2011, I decided it was time to take the leap. Happy Baby was born!

After the success of our lightweight bamboo baby wraps, I set to work to create a beautiful and unique soft structure carrier that solved the numerous problems that other carriers had. Our patented linen soft structure baby carrier was released in the fall of 2016 to overwhelming excitement and rave reviews, and subsequently revolutionized the entire industry. It features a slim design that provides comfort and support where you need it without the typical weight, bulk and heat. Our curved straps form to the wearer and provide comfortable support without digging in or popping up, while our apron-style waist allows you to sit, stand, and switch positions easily—no adjusting or fussing required. Made from breathable, natural linen fabric in trendsetting colors and prints, each carrier is as beautiful as it is functional, keeping both parent and baby cool and comfortable in style.

Our baby carriers have become a favorite among parents, not only because they make babywearing easier but also because they elevate the experience—combining timeless aesthetics with functional design in a way that truly changes how we connect with our little ones.
