Cookies, advertising and tracking
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies for four purposes:
- Essential: keep items in your cart, keep you signed in, process checkout, and secure the site.
- Preferences: remember settings such as your country or accessibility choices.
- Analytics: understand which pages and products are popular and how the site performs.
- Advertising: show you ads for Happy Baby on other websites and social platforms, and measure whether those ads lead to purchases. This uses advertising partners' tools Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest that receive identifiers, pages viewed and purchase events.
Under some state laws, sharing data with advertising partners in this way is called "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, "targeted advertising," or a "sale" of personal information. We treat it that way for the purposes of your rights below.
How to opt out of advertising and sale/sharing:
- Use the cookie settings banner on our site and choose to decline advertising cookies
- Turn on a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser or extension. We treat a GPC signal as a valid request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser and, where we can identify you, for your account.
- Email us at info@happybabycarriers.com with the subject "Opt out."
- Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may stop checkout and your cart from working.
- Use industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance's and Network Advertising Initiative's opt-out pages.
Do Not Track: Our site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" headers, because there is no common standard for them. We do respond to GPC as described above.
We may also see when you open our emails or click links in them, for example through tracking pixels, so we can measure how our emails perform.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the rights below. We extend these rights to all U.S. customers, whether or not your state's law requires it.
- Know and access: ask what personal information we collect, use, disclose and share about you, and get a copy.
- Delete: ask us to delete personal information we collected from you, and to tell our service providers to do the same.
- Correct: ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
- Portability: get your information in a portable, readily usable format.
- Opt out: of the sale or sharing of your personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling.
- Limit: the use of sensitive personal information, where we use it beyond what is needed to provide our products.
- No retaliation: we will not deny you products, charge different prices, or give you a different level of service because you use these rights. Any discount we offer in exchange for your email address is a voluntary promotion, and we do not value your data in setting it.
How to make a request. Email info@happybabycarriers.com.
How we verify you. We will ask you to confirm details we already hold, such as the email on your account and an order number or shipping address, so we don't release your information to the wrong person. You don't need an account to make a request.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent. We will ask for your written permission and may verify your identity with you directly.
Timing. We confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and may extend by up to 45 more days where the law allows.
Reasons we may decline. We may keep information we need to complete a transaction, fulfill a warranty or product recall, detect and prevent fraud or security incidents, comply with tax and other legal obligations, resolve disputes, or for internal uses reasonably aligned with your expectations. If we decline all or part of a request, we will explain why.
Appeals. If we deny your request, reply to our response with the subject "Appeal" or email info@happybabycarriers.com. We will respond in writing within 45 days with our decision and the reasons.

We use sensitive personal information only to provide our products, complete transactions, secure accounts and prevent fraud. We do not use it to infer characteristics about you, so there is nothing further to limit.
Sources: you, your devices and browser, and our service providers, as listed in the sections above.
Purposes: the purposes listed under "How we use information."
Retention: we keep order and customer records for as long as we need them for tax, accounting, warranty, fraud-prevention and legal purposes, and then delete or de-identify them. We keep marketing contact data until you unsubscribe, and cookie and advertising identifiers for the life of the cookie. The table under "Data retention and security" lists each category.
Minors: we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
Sharing for others' direct marketing: we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
To exercise your California rights, follow "Your privacy rights" above.
Notice for residents of other states
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah and Virginia, may have the rights described in "Your privacy rights" and may appeal a denial as described there. The laws differ by state, and some do not apply to small businesses.
- Sensitive data: where a state requires your consent before we process sensitive data, we will ask for it first. We do not sell sensitive personal data.
- Profiling: we do not use personal information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, such as credit, housing, employment or health care decisions. Our fraud screening may decline an order, and you can contact us to have it reviewed by a person.
- Minors: we do not knowingly sell, or use for targeted advertising, the personal data of consumers under 18.
- AI training: we do not use personal data to train large language models.
- Nevada: we do not sell covered information for money. To make an opt-out request anyway, contact us at info@happybabycarriers.com.
- Opt-out preference signals: we honor Global Privacy Control signals, as described under "Cookies, advertising and tracking."
Children's privacy
Our website is for parents and caregivers, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent, and we do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16.
Parents and guardians sometimes send us information about their own child, for example photos or details in a model application, product registration or review. By submitting it you are doing so on the child's behalf. We use it only for the purpose you submitted it for, and you can ask us at any time to access or delete it.
If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us at info@happybabycarriers.com and we will delete it promptly.
Email and text messages
Email. If you give us your email address at checkout or through a signup form or popup, we may send you announcements, offers and other marketing. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us. We send order confirmations, shipping updates and other service messages even if you unsubscribe from marketing.
Text messages. By giving us your mobile number and checking the consent box, you agree to receive recurring marketing and cart-reminder texts from Happy Baby at that number, including messages sent with automated technology. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. We do not share mobile opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing.
Back-in-stock alerts. If you ask to be notified when an item returns, we use your email address or phone number to send that alert.
Data retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, to meet legal, tax, warranty and accounting requirements, to resolve disputes and to enforce our agreements. The table below shows how long we keep each category. These rules apply to customers everywhere.
|
Category |
How long we keep it |
|---|---|
|
Order and customer records |
For as long as we need them for tax, accounting, warranty, fraud-prevention and legal purposes, and then we delete or de-identify them |
|
Account information |
While your account is open, and afterward as order and customer records |
|
Marketing contact details (email, phone) |
Until you unsubscribe. We then keep only the minimum needed to honor your opt-out, such as your email address on a suppression list |
|
Cookie and advertising identifiers |
For the life of each cookie, from the end of your browsing session up to 24 months. The cookie settings on our site list each one |
|
Reviews, photos and form submissions |
Until you ask us to remove them, or for as long as we need them to run the review, application or program you submitted them for |
|
Fraud and risk signals |
For as long as needed to prevent fraud and resolve chargebacks and disputes |
We use safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (TLS) on our site, access controls on our systems and tools, and payment processors that handle card data under industry security standards. We do not store full card numbers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and regulators as the law requires.
Customers outside the United States
We ship to most countries. Happy Baby is based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored here and in other countries where our service providers operate. If you live outside the United States, this section adds to the rest of this policy.
Who is responsible. Happy Baby, LLC, at the address under "Contact us," decides how and why your personal information is used.
Why we use your information (EU, UK, Switzerland and similar laws).
- To fulfill your order and support you: it is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To prevent fraud, secure our site, understand how it is used, and improve our products: our legitimate interests, which we balance against your rights.
- To meet tax, accounting, customs and other legal obligations: legal obligation.
- To set non-essential cookies, show you personalized ads and send marketing where the law requires permission: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Cookies and marketing. Where local law requires it, we set analytics and advertising cookies and send marketing emails or texts only after you opt in. We follow local rules on marketing messages, such as Canada's anti-spam law.
Shipping and customs. To deliver an international order, we share your name, address, phone number, email and the contents of your order with carriers and customs authorities in the countries involved.
Transfers to other countries. When we transfer personal information out of your country, we rely on safeguards the law recognizes, such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and the UK addendum, or an adequacy decision or certification where one applies.
Your rights. You may ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal information, to object to our use of it (including for direct marketing), and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that significantly affects you. Contact us using the details below. We respond within one month, or the time your local law sets. You may also complain to your local data protection authority, such as your national authority in the EU, the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK, or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children. In some countries the age at which a child can consent is higher than 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the age set by local law without a parent's consent.
Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least once a year and update it when our practices or the law change. The "Effective date" below shows the latest version. For material changes we will post a notice on our website and may email account holders. Where the law requires your consent to a new use of your information, we will ask for it.
Effective date: Oct. 13, 2026
