The Happy Toddler Onbuhimo is a beautiful and simple, Japanese-inspired waistless carrier. Designed to support a high back carry position, our Toddler Onbuhimo provides your child with a view of the world from your level. If you need help getting comfortable, please email us to setup a free consultation (an additional fee may apply for live sessions if the carrier is purchased 2nd hand).
Onbuhimos work your shoulder and upper back mucles more because there is no waistband to counterbalance the weight. It can take some time to build the muscles used by on Onbuhimo.
The Toddler Onbuhimo does not include a hood, a pocket or cinching.

This is our first Happy Baby Toddler and I absolutely love it! LoveHeld fabric is so incredibly soft. The carrier itself is super packable, lightweight, and yet supportive. Must have!
My girl loves the high back carries on the Onbuhimo! While she was sick and teething this is the only way I was able to get anything done. So grateful for the coziest carriers 🤍
As someone who only used Onbuhimos with more padding on shoulder straps I was a bit doubtful about Happy Baby Onbuhimos. To my surprise I found it super comfortable and supportive. I didn’t miss the thick padding at all. And the fabric is so pretty! Makes me happy every time I wear it!
I bought this version on accident, my little man loved the original happy baby carrier from the time he was tiny but has outgrown it. I thought I was buying the regular toddler carrier so imagine my shock when this arrived. I figured oh well let’s give it a try. It’s easy to put on and amazingly comfortable for him but it kills my back. The lack of support because there is not a waist strap, while it may be less to manage, makes me need to go to the chiropractor after wearing him. The color and the fit are great but the way it makes my body distribute his weight is rough.
Simple to use and great for connection and regulation with my toddler on busy days.

I was pleasantly surprised that the material on this is a bit more heavier duty than the 100% linen. We love how neutral, simple and comfortable this carrier is.

We have had a few Happy Baby carriers over the years and have loved each one of them. They are the only ssc I could get cinched small enough to use when my little loves were tiny, starting from newborn, and onward. They are comfortable, quick, easy to use, and easy to care for. Happy baby has been a godsend for our family. Not only does it give me the ability to cuddle with my baby a lot longer than I ever expected. It’s comfortable it’s lightweight. And every single one of their products is absolutely stunning. I live in a very humid climate, these carriers are perfect to breathe in the humidity. I recommend happy baby carriers to every single person that I come in contact with who is asking about a baby carrier and I recommend them to friends who aren’t even sure what baby carriers are. They definitely save my life every single day. Whether my baby is teething, sick or I just need to get something done around the house or I just wanna cuddle and take a walk happy baby is my go to baby carrier. I will never own another baby carrier brand.

We’re so excited about our coast with tan toddler onbuhimo! My oldest daughter recently decided she wants to be carried along with my youngest and it’s so helpful having something without a waist band to put her in!

The toddler Onbuhimo is everything I love about the regular Onbuhimo, in a size where I can carry my 3yo. It’s such a comfortable back carry, no waist strap digging in, and flattering because I don’t have my torso tightly wrapped. It’s easy to get my toddler in and out and comfortable for both of us - lots of naps in this carrier, including while doing some Alaska hiking!
Love all my happy baby carriers but the Onbuhimo is so easy to use. My toddler loves being carried around in it.
