Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 4.5 / 5 from 60 reviews.
I purchased the Happy Baby Revolution carrier when we had our second child after hearing so many positive things about the brand. In fact, it was the only baby gear item I bought specifically for our second baby because I expected it to be a high-quality product that would last for years.
There were definitely things I liked about it. My baby loved being able to face outward, and we got a lot of use out of the carrier during his first year. However, one of the snap buttons that secures the side flap eventually pulled completely out of its socket. While I used the carrier frequently during the first year, use became much more occasional after that. The carrier is now about three years old, and my child is still well within the stated weight range, but I can no longer safely use it because of this failure.
What makes this especially disappointing is that other carriers I’ve owned—including my WildBird, Solly Baby, and Beco Gemini carriers—have held up much longer. Given the premium price of the Happy Baby Revolution, I expected it to last through the toddler years of at least one child.
I contacted Happy Baby because their warranty information indicates that repairs may sometimes be available. Unfortunately, the only solution I was offered was a small discount toward purchasing a brand-new carrier. Considering the cost of these carriers and the nature of the issue, that response was frustrating and not particularly helpful.
I wanted to share my experience so that potential buyers are aware that the snap buttons on the Revolution can fail even with proper use, proper care, and a child who remains within the recommended weight limits. I also think it’s important for customers to know that if this happens outside the warranty period, they may not receive much support beyond a discount code for a replacement purchase.
Overall, I loved the outward-facing option and got good use out of the carrier for a time, but I am disappointed that it did not even last through the toddlerhood of one child.

I adore this carrier. We bought a Happy Baby OG with our first, but our second is finicky and only wants to be outward carried a lot of the time. This model is so worth the extra cost! It takes literally 5 seconds to convert it from inward to outward and vice versa, and I find the padding prevents the red marks on the legs my first baby always used to get in the OG. If you're torn between the two, just get this one!

As you can tell…. My son and I love this carrier. I tried many. This one was the best. Better than any wraps or other very expensive carriers. The simplicity especially when alone really makes it a well worthwhile investment! It’s durable, cute and easy to use. Can’t go wrong!

Baby love exploring the world. And this forward facing option is a God sent.

We love our Happy Baby revolution! It was our favorite for front carries during the 4-8 month age ❤️

The happy baby carrier is a quality product! I can put it on and take it off all alone, but I appreciate help with the shoulder buckle. The buckles are my favorite. The waist buckle is huge, made with a quality sturdy material, therefore making it easy to snap close and get it off. The tightening straps are easy to reach, loosen & tighten. I love the color and it’s so stylish! Absolutely love it.

The HBC revolution is a must bring for outings and traveling for >6months old! My little one is 22 months and still loves to explore in the revolution! Thanks to the revolution, the little one is able to see things on our level (adult height). I love how light, comfortable and beautiful the Happy Baby carriers (HBC) are and I always bring a few of them with me when I travel. They can be packed into my luggage like a pair of jeans. Revolution is more padded, hence it will be less compact as compared to OG. My Happy Baby forever ❤️

We borrowed this REV from a friend when my baby was a baby 🥹 I LOVED this carrier! My girl went through phases of wanting to snuggle in the carrier but then wanted to be nosey and look around. This was a great option for us while we borrowed it for vacation because we were able to flip her around when she wanted no problem!

Happy Baby has been the key to getting any sort of work done this past year and a half (we started using them once he hit 7 lbs). My favorite carrier is the Original, but my husband loves the Revolution! (We also bought an onbuhimo and a Toddler size so we are fully committed). Don't sleep on how comfortable these carriers are, particularly once you have a fit check via zoom. The linen fabric is light enough to be comfy during the hot and humid summer months. I've used other structured carriers and somehow, HB manages to make the most supportive carrier without loading up on bulky padding- I'd recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat. #sweepstakesentry

We LOVE our happy baby carrier. Our baby girl never gets tired of it and now that she’s big enough to forward face she is loving it even more! It’s comfortable while not sacrificing the support you look for in a more structured carrier. #sweepstakesentry

I started with a preloved Revolution and loved it so much I bought a second so my husband and I didn’t have to keep adjusting the straps to fit us both. I brought it everywhere we went before my daughter turned 2 so I could soothe her, be hands free while out and about and nap her when needed. I then graduated to a toddler carrier and until I got pregnant this year, I also used it for every outing we went on! Hoping to use it again when I’m not baby carrying my newborn and looking forward to carrying my new one in my revolutions!
I love that I can front carry, world face and back carry with the revolution. It’s just fun to have a variety of ways to safely carry babe.

We have an original and revolution carrier, and love them both. The Revolution carried our third all over Europe and was comfy and easy to adjust between the two adults. I love how lightweight and packable it is and that our baby can look out at the world when he wants to.
Kathleen D.5/5
Love the Revolution carrier! We love wearing it at the zoo and my baby just loves looking forward especially on walks! Its also very comfy for the wearer! I highly recommend! ☺️
Regina L.5/5
The revolution is such a comfortable carrier and it’s so nice having the option to front carry, back carry, or world face all in one carrier!
Taylor5/5
I really love this carrier, I searched for a reliable carrier to back carry my 9 month old and a friend recommended Happy Baby Carriers. I’ve had it for about a month and I have been so happy with it! My daughter is getting used to being in my back and I can have the freedom again to do so much while keeping her safe! I like the revolution carrier because it gives the option to front carry if I want too. The buttons on the bottom where her legs are do pop open easily, but for me that’s been minor.

We have one of each style (original, onbuhimo, and revolution) and we love the revolution style! The original is great for longer wears but for times where my baby wants to be world facing the revolution is great! The flaps fold in so easily and they’re extra padded so my baby is always very comfortable. I like how the revolution also has cinching so it’s a perfect fit every time!
Ashley H.5/5
Multiple hikes (even while nursing) and even a trip to the beach in this carrier! My girl is starting to enjoy the occasional world-facing that the revolution allows
Madison G.5/5
We loved our Original Carrier so much that we bought the revolution to have the forward facing option too! This quickly became my husband's favorite! Once our child wanted the option to be forward facing, this was so nice to have on hand so that we could do inward, on our back or forward facing. It's SO EASY to switch between the three. It's literally just two snaps to make the carrier forward facing. I have a different brand carrier that requires so many steps and rethreading to switch to forward facing. The one pictured here is "Stone" which I believe is a retired color. I've bought several HBCs as gifts, and most of my friends have preferred to get a Revolution from the get-go so that they have the forward-facing option. (Truth be told, the Original is my favorite, but that doesn't mean I'd give up my Revolution!)

Best experience for world facing - babe loves it. It is more padded than an OG (original) due to this capability so inward facing feels a bit different but still totally comfortable.
Super easy to put on and take off by one person, no need for cumbersome fiddling or help from another!

I got the Revolution in such a beautiful color! I love it because it is so easy to put on and my daughter seemed comfortable from only a few weeks old. I love that you can be forward facing too! It’s very comfortable for me to wear.

We LOVE our happy baby revolution!! It’s so comfy for me and for baby, and we honestly use it every single day. Can’t recommend it enough!!
Jaime K.5/5
This carrier absolutely saved me in so many ways. It was comfortable on my back, gave me flexibility to carry and nurse my Velcro baby, and (in the color Java) goes with basically everything. The hood is perfect.
After about six months of daily use for every nap (so for 3+ hours per day), it is very worn out and threadbare in places. One of the buttons consistently comes undone while I am putting it on, which is a nuisance, but it never comes undone while wearing it. I bought an OG and definitely prefer it because it doesn’t have the button issues.

Love the carrier we use it everyday!
Keeona R.5/5Verified
I love the carrier. We have used quite a few different ones and I've had various challenges. This one sits easily on the hips and stays snuggly on the arms. My daughter never seems uncomfortable, and her chin is far enough above it that she doesn't drool on the fabric.
Elana N.4/5Verified
My husband said this is the best carrier we have. I'm 120lb and 5'2" and he is 275lb and 6'1". We can easily adjust fit for the both of us! Our favorite is having our 6month old face outward since he loves to be able to look around. It supports weight well and is beautiful quality. Worth the purchase!
Ryan M.5/5Verified
Unfortunately this hurts my back when I use it. I have it adjusted appropriately but really can’t use it. It’s unfortunate that I can’t return it now.

Was great want to try the other carrier options

- my baby is in the 95th percentile of age group so it was not easy to carry her with this sling (ie I don’t think her weight was well distributed). I think lighter and younger babies would be more comfortable in it
- I like the material and how small it folded up
- problem for us is that my husband was not able to use the carrier without extensions, and it was difficult to change from myself to him carrying the baby with the sling on the go

Best forward facing baby carrier I’ve tried. My eight month old loves it. It’s comfortable for both of us, and easy to adjust. Plus it’s so cute! Other carriers have been a little too complicated/unwieldy for me. This one is simple and fits like a glove.
Emalie W.5/5Verified
I recently purchased the revolution carrier for a trip to europe. While the carrier is comfortable and easy to use, the hood snap button already came off after 2 uses.
Sanam B.3/5Verified
This is a wonderful carrier that my baby loves to be in and I can wear for hours without pain. It's easy to put on and take off. It packs flat and compact in my suitcase making it great for travel. I have tried many carriers over the years for two babies and this one is my favorite.
Haley B.5/5Verified
Overall I love this product but the customer service has me wanting more. My carrier is less than a year old, so I asked about the warranty regarding a broken clip. One of the prongs broke, so I reached out to customer service asking about the warranty. They said they could send me a replacement but instead charged me, granted it was $5 but after I paid almost $200 for this /less than a year old, it just rubs me the wrong way.
E K.3/5
Absolutely love!!! I didn’t think
I would ever feel comfortable in a forward facing carrier. So beyond beautiful and versatile. Fits both me and my 6ft 2 partner. Plus the baby loves it🥰#sweepstakesentry
Allison C.5/5
Uncomfortable. I splurged on this because I wanted a soft structured carrier that would be easier to travel with. The straps are uncomfortable, baby was not comfortable in it either. Customer service is a joke. When I went to go initiate a return I had to wait several days because only one person was dedicated to returns and was on vacation? And they also do not cover return shipping, which for such an expensive product, they should. Wouldn’t recommend.
Luisa G.2/5
Baby is comfortable and so am I. Easy to buckle yourself
